THE START

Finally the journey starts and I am leaving The Netherlands for good. However I will return hopefully one day at least for holidays in the future ... Anyhow the preparations are made and a new start of my life can begin…

I have a lot to learn about my new country. Especially the summers can be very warm and dangerous for skin burns. I can tell you it’s a lot better weather in Mexico anyhow then in The Netherlands and it is such a different country. The history alone is enormous, and mirrored to the Dutch history, so rich of civilizations and culture. The only similarities between both countries are that both were occupied once by the same country named SPAIN. See historical facts between History NL and History MX.

I am happy at this moment. Happy that after 7 months my wife, son and I can finally be together again. For me these 7 months were the worst period of the emigration phase and I am sure my wife thinks the same too. Although it was the only way to do it, I can advise everybody to try to keep this period as short as possible or to avoid it completely. However... first I going to enjoy my flight...and then I will see again... 3 months of Holidays will be very new to me but I keep you informed about the progress... In the meantime I keep reading about my new city that I am going to live in: Monterrey.

For the once that want to see the big city check the picture in the right upper corner, 5 million registered citizens and about 10 million more that live in the neighborhood. As you can see the city is build around a mountain riff that occupies whole Monterrey city and the mountain that marks it. That’s the reason the city is called Monterrey or King of Mountains. I going to be part of that culture, so finally, I can discover by myself the truth behind the real Mexico!
